The Invention of Nature:Alexander Von Humboldt’s New World by Andrea Wulf is one of the biographies that I know I am going to truly enjoy. I knew of Charles Darwin and his voyage on the Beagle, but I must admit I did not know of Alexander Von Humboldt’s adventures and exploits. This book does not just touch on Humboldt’s career and achievements but concentrates on his ideas and influence. As I stated earlier, this is a biography in which I do not know the subject at all but I am extremely excited to find out about him and his travels. I am moving this to the top of my pile as soon as I go purchase it.
