Currently Reading: David And Goliath By Malcolm Gladwell

I began reading this last evening and wanted to report on this book thus far: I love Malcolm Gladwell‘s writing and the reason is he writes concisely and clearly and his story-telling in my opinion is beyond measure. What I hope to garner from this book is to be able to understand the following quote from the book:

This is from page 6:

“Through these stories, I want to explore two ideas. The first is that much of what we consider valuable in our world arises out of these kinds of lopsided conflicts, because the act of facing overwhelming odd produces greatness and beauty. And second, that we consistently get these kinds of conflicts wrong.”

I love authors, as I stated earlier, that allows the reader on the front end to know what they are trying to accomplish with their writing. I appreciate it and look forward to see if Mr. Gladwell accomplishes these goals.
